Our practice is owned by the doctors who work here. Some local medical centres nowadays are owned by out of town businessmen. The Nambour Medical Centre is owned and operated by the doctors who work in the practice.

Principals
Dr Andrew Wall
Andrew graduated from the University of Queensland in 1997. He has worked on the Sunshine Coast since 2001 initially at Nambour General Hospital before joining Nambour Medical Centre in 2002 as a registrar and then as partner. Andrew is married with 2 daughters and a son. He has a passion for gardening and rugby and is looking forward to more time travelling in the future. Andrew is interested in all aspects of family and general practice medicine.
Dr Justine Lutkin
Dr Justine Lutkin graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery having previously studied music and anthropology. Justine worked for several years at the RBWH and in general practice at a number of surgeries in Brisbane. Justine is interested in all aspects of general practice, and particularly enjoys working as a family doctor.
Tenant Doctors
These are Independent Contract Medical Practitioners that work out of the Nambour Medical Centre’s premises, under their own ABN and are responsible for their own conduct and professional registration.
Dr Geoff Norman
Geoff is married with 3 children. Originally studied and worked in Sydney, he then spent 4 years in England before settling on the coast. Geoff is passionate about GP learning and has been involved in the RACGP's education and supervision of young GPs for over 25 years. He has particular interests in preventative health care and chronic illness management e.g. heart disease, diabetes. If you too, share one his sporting injuries, he may be able to help you. Geoff is a devotee of Mediterranean food, cycling holidays and Queensland Rugby.
Dr Taye Chai
Taye has been working at Nambour Medical Centre since 2004 with a few breaks to have her 2 boys. Prior to that she worked at Nambour General Hospital for 3 years. She has a special interest in family medicine and particularly enjoys caring for children.
Taye is kept busy by her kids, husband, dog, chickens, cat , horse and cows and loves gardening, skiing and fishing. She stays sane by doing kick boxing, zumba and taebox.
Dr Alicia Lorenz
We welcome Dr Alicia Lorenz to our Practice. Dr Alicia completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Queensland in 2004 to be followed by a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery in 2009.
She is interested in all aspects of family medicine & would love to meet you to discuss your health requirements or concerns.
Dr Benjamin Tay
Dr Benjamin Tay graduated from Griffith University in 2015. Born and bred in Brisbane, he completed his final two years of residency on the Sunshine Coast before starting GP training at Nambour Medical Centre. Ben is married and a proud new dad as of 2019. He enjoys spending his down time playing footy, basketball, CrossFit, drumming and learning to surf. He has completed the Sydney Child Health Program and has interest in all areas of general practice and family medicine.
Dr Alison Hanks
Dr Alison Hanks graduated medicine in 2013 and completed general practice training in Cairns. She now enjoys living on the Sunshine Coast with her husband and young family. Alison provides care in all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in child health, women's health and family planning. She has a passion for helping families navigate the early years and has done additional study in lactation medicine and allergic disease. She is a qualified International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and has completed the Sydney Child Health Program.

Dr David Gillis
Dr Gillis graduated from Sydney University in 1983 and has subsequently qualified for a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Gillis has experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, acupuncture, paediatrics, and emergency medicine in addition to General practice.

Dr Bianca Melzner
Is originally from Port Lincoln - a small coastal town in South Australia. She has been working at various hospitals around the Sunshine Coast since relocating to QLD 3 years ago. Bianca is interested in all aspects of general practice and is excited to see you about any issue you might have! Outside of work, she likes Pilates, sustainable living, and anything to do with the ocean.
Dr Johannes (Joe) Berggren
After growing up in northern Sweden Joe completed his medical degree at the Australian National University in Canberra 2020. He spent his resident years working in a variety of specialties in Canberra and on the Sunshine Coast. He is interested in all aspects of general practice. Joe lives with his partner and enjoys traveling and playing soccer in his free time.
