Health Assessments For Over 75's
Our registered nurses are doing home visits, and in clinic appointments to patients over 75 years of age, with the aim of providing a comprehensive look at your health and care in the home. This service is in combination with a review by your regular General Practitioner at the surgery. This appointment generally takes 75mins. Please speak to your doctor about this service, which is bulk billed to Medicare.
Bulk Billed Health Checks For 45-49yrs
NMC offers a thorough health assessment for this age group. You need to book in advance and complete a questionnaire with one of our registered nurses during the assessment. This appointment generally takes 60mins. The nurse does a series of measurements, followed by a review with your regular General Practitioner, and the provision of some recommendations regarding your health.
Warfarin Clinics (Monday Mornings)
MONDAY MORNINGS ONLY - Doctors conduct a clinic so that patients can have a test of their warfarin level / INR. This is a single finger prick. Patients are then able to obtain the result immediately and make any dosage changes upon discussion with the doctor, right then and there. It is fast and convenient for the majority of patients taking warfarin. Book at reception or ask your doctor.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
We have implemented a bulk billed comprehensive health check service for all ages. You need to book in advance for this check and complete a pre-check questionnaire with one of our registered nurses during the assessment. This appointment generally takes 60mins. The program includes a comprehensive assessment, and recommendations with a registered nurse, and your regular General Practitioner. Many allied health providers can be accessed via this service as well for problems that may be identified.
